Information stored in this browser
Mythos Forge uses localStorage to keep your shortlists, character threads, world pins, and up to 200 recent product-interaction events. Those events describe actions such as generating, changing a filter, copying, or saving; they do not contain the contents of your clipboard.
In the current MVP, this information remains in your browser and is not uploaded to a Mythos Forge account or analytics server unless you choose to publish a share link.
Read-only share links
Choosing “Publish read-only link” sends one snapshot of the active project to Mythos Forge so anyone with the link can view it. The snapshot does not change your private browser archive, is not indexed for search, and expires after 30 days. Do not publish a link containing private or sensitive material.
Private vault links
Choosing “Create private vault” encrypts a snapshot in your browser before sending it to Mythos Forge. The decryption key stays after the # in the recovery link and is not sent to Mythos Forge. Anyone with the complete link can decrypt and import that copy, so keep it private. Encrypted vault copies expire after 90 days.
Backups and restored files
Download backup creates a JSON file in the location chosen by your browser. Restore backup reads the selected file inside your browser so that you can review its item counts before replacing the current archive. The local MVP does not upload that backup file to Mythos Forge.

Clear saved names, characters, world pins, and the local interaction trail from this browser.
Optional analytics
The production site can connect Google Analytics only after you choose “Allow usage analytics”. Before that choice, its tag is not loaded. You can reopen “Privacy choices” in the footer and return to essential-only mode at any time.
Advertising and Google
No advertising tag is active in this local preview. The public build loads Google AdSense only when a publisher ID and a confirmed Google-certified consent-management setup are both present. Google and other advertising vendors may then use cookies or similar storage to serve, measure, and limit ads where consent and law allow.
You can manage Google personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be shown a separate Google-certified consent message before advertising storage is used where required.
Technical information
Like most hosted services, a future production host may process request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Hosting and advertising providers process data under their own terms and policies.
Your choices
You can avoid browser saving by not using Favourite, Build, Map, or Archive features; download a backup before clearing saved data above; block storage in your browser; or change advertising consent through the consent message when ads are active.
