FOR GAME MASTERS

Prepare a session with connective tissue.

Make a few choices that point at one another instead of rolling isolated tables five minutes before everyone arrives.

One session, four connected prompts

Begin with an NPC who wants something clear. Give the meeting a tavern with a sign, a clientele, and one reason it matters. Place both in a town, then choose one pressure that will force a decision before the night ends. You now have an entry point, a location, a relationship, and a consequence.

Keep the pieces visible

Save a strong result instead of trying to remember it. The archive is designed for shortlists and project threads: a name, a role, a place, and a note about why they belong together. It stays in the browser until you choose to export or share it, so you can prepare without making an account for a single game.

Use generators as prompts, not authority

A good table needs room for player decisions. Treat a generated backstory, trait, or flaw as a playable lever: something the party can discover, complicate, or change. If the result does not create a choice, reroll it or edit it. The useful question is not “is this lore complete?” but “what can the players do with it?”

A quick starting kit

  • NPC Generator for an immediate face and role.
  • Tavern Name Generator for a meeting place.
  • Kingdom Name Generator for the larger political pressure.
  • Quest Generator for the choice that moves the table forward.
